Claudia Marie Fernety was born in Los Angeles and currently resides in San Diego, California, where she maintains an active studio practice. From 2007 to 2016 she lived in London, England with her husband Marty Sereno. While there, she worked out of a studio in Islington, as part of Candid Arts. She also worked for The Connections, a Homeless Charity based in Trafalgar Square. With a background in both the Arts and Social Work, she tutored homeless artists to help them produce and show their work. She has exhibited her own artwork in galleries and museums, and her work is a part of several public and private collections. Her charitable contributions include murals for the United Nations Building in San Diego, the SDSU Imaging Center in San Diego, the BUCNI Imaging Center in London, illustrations for the San Diego Family Justice Alliance, the Jordan Family Justice Center in Amman, the Antwerp Family Justice Center in Brussels, the Anaheim Family Justice Center in California, and several others. She also loves music, and writes and performs her own songs.
